What I want to do for this short post is pose a question. You have to answer it (not by commenting, I mean in the real world).

Do you want 12 more years of Bush W (i.e. McCain)? or Do you want 20 more years of Clinton/Bush W reign of terror? or Do you want 24 more years of Clinton’s and Bush’s??? or…

DO YOU WANT 32 MORE YEARS OF REAGAN/BUSH/CLINTON?!?

Seriously? The three people that have quite possibly done the most damage to the poor/working class under-the-poverty-line people of our country? Which is yet growing larger every week? The ones that have cut spending on welfare and the impoverished children of the United States… the ones that have had as many, if not more, failed war campaigns than all the previous 39 presidents put together? Iran, Grenada, Panama, El Salvadore, Nicaragua, Afghanistan, Iraq, and, of course, the war on the under-class of the United States. The ones that have kept the corporations and the richest elite wealthier beyond any civilization has ever seen in the history of the world.

Just… vote for Obama. We all know that no one’s going to turn out and vote anyway because everyone is so disillusioned. But, vote for Obama ONLY BECAUSE  he’s not a Bush, Clinton, or a Reagan. And maybe, just maybe, something good MAY come out of it. Although, chances are, he’ll be a corporate whore too.

On another note, this Boston Globe article really pissed me off. “8 reasons why this is the dumbest generation.” Oh pardon me, Professor Mark (dooshbag) Bauerlein. Aren’t you high and mighty. God, you must hate having to teach us retards huh? Why’d you become an English professor at Emory anyway? So you can talk down to your students and call them stupid? Well, maybe if you were a better teacher, you wouldn’t have to write a self-glorifying book about yourself. Because, that’s what this book clearly is. A book about how much smarter Baeurlein thinks he is than his student body. Seriously? Why haven’t you quit yet if you can’t stand teaching kids in this generation? Or better yet, just pull your head out of your ass, stop preaching to the dooshbag choir, and look around. Not only are many young people RESPONSIBLE for this new technology that is changing the world, but there also young people that are much smarter than you.

So stick to your English, and your complaining about modern vocabulary and writing skills, because if time is any indication (and it always is and never fails), the vernacular changes and evolves over time. That’s right, hold onto your Shakespeare 16th Century standards for literature, and your 19th century upgrades, and your 20th century updates. See a trend? Yeah, conversational and written languages actually change. Surprisingly, to me at least, an ENGLISH PROFESSOR cannot see it.

…through YouTube that is. It ain’t coming back, I’ve accepted it (sort of).

Anyway, there’s an amazing video right now uploaded by scummbuddy (who has been a dominant figure in the world of online Clone High tomfoolery, i.e. message boards). It features Phil Lord and Chris Miller at the Independent TV and Film Festival talking about the cancellation of the show. Also - they talk a lot about my favorite episode - the Ponce episode. This is one of the most brilliant episodes of any show ever made, and their reflection upon that particular episode is just as hilarious. Enjoy:

Wow. We took a “hiatus”.

I always have things to talk about, but I never have time to write it out. And, immediately after opening wordpress, I’m completely blank for topics.

I’m happy that the C’s won last night. Mainly, because they played well. You see, growing up in the 80s in New England, you are a Larry Bird fan. Whether you watched basketball or not, you were a Bird fan. In fact, lately I’ve been reliving the Bird years on youtube. Check out this vid called Basketball Jesus:

It’s great to see guys like Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Garnett, Posey, Rondo, Cassell (and well, most of the team actually) be able to pull of the sort of jumpers that made Bird great. No one will be as good as Bird was, but the recent (very recent) success of the C’s has rekindled that personal interest. That jackass Bibby may call it jumping on the bandwagon - but he’s playing like a second grader lost in a middle school. Big words for a piece of crap. And ALSO - talk about jumping on the bandwagon. I quote from last night, “Atlanta’s been looking for a great time to lift their spirits… it’s been a 9-year playoff drought in Atlanta.” So, as pathetic as Atlanta already is in my mind, the people are even more pathetic, and the players are even worse.

I won’t even start on the type of low, low-class fouling the hawk’s are pulling the C’s. These Celtics are classy, these Celtics don’t take cheap shots. I had to make sure that Kevin Garnett wasn’t stabbed in the back after he was fouled HARD by Al Horford (who walked and skipped away like he just stole a Snickers bar after the foul). I can’t find a picture of that, but Horford should learn his rookie place.

On another note, Free Cone Day was on Tuesday (4/29). I had the new Cheesecake Brownie. It was, as expected, a nearly perfect flavor. (I worked for B&J for three years… so yes, my opinion matters).

Yeah, yeah, I know. I love Third Eye Blind. I’m that person - not so much stuck in a period of music, but not ashamed of my love of 3eb.

I went to see them last night at SNHU (a small college of New Hampshire). They played five new songs (some of which were flat out awesome), and of course the billboard favorites and fan favorites too (Tattoo of the Sun I THINK?!). Stephan Jenkins looked real good, and I was worried that he was going to come out looking like an old man. Luckily for everyone at the show, he was on top of his game. And, he said that he finally finished the lyrics for the new album and they’re going to record in the studio next month. So, a new record finally after a five year drought? I am hoping so.

Enjoy the lame camera video I took last night. (I should’ve just brought a video camera to be honest.) I know the sound and video are awful, but this is just proof that they are still touring!

i posted all the comics that i’ve drawn recently.  they go in order, so start with the one that’s chronologically first, not top on the page.  bottom to top i mean.  unless you have an RSS feed.  in which case i’m not sure what the hell will happen.  because i have no idea what RSS does.  when i have time i’ll put them on my own website in some sort of sensible order.

in other news my girlfriend broke up with me.  if you need me, i’ll be crying in my pillow and listening to the cure.  and by my pillow, i of course mean my cat….
